SPUD’s Road to the Torch Relay
Today’s guest is Nancy Hammill. After surviving cancer Nancy decided not leave the cancer ward. Instead she’s assisted in educating patients for the last 13 years. A proud volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society she would later play integral role in bringing the Relay for Life to her high school. In only 2 short years that high school became the top fundraising school in Canada. In 2008 Nancy, who’s also been a life long runner, became the youngest reciepient of the Order of Prince Edward Island. A cancer survivor, a runner and a 2010 Olympic torchbear Nancy Hammill joins us today on SPUD’s Road to the Torch Relay.
