On Monday, March 30th 2009 @ 11 am SPUD FM morning guy Chris Pride and Summerside Western Capitals reporter Corey Jeffery put their money where their mouths are… Or should we say where their hair is??

To show support Chris & Corey vowed to bleach their hair blonde just like the players on the Western Capitals did.  However, the bleach was only to touch the heads of our pretty little announcers IF the caps made it to the Kent Cup Final.  Well guess what?  They did!

The Summerside Western Captials wrapped up the Roger Meek Division Final on Saturday with a thrilling 5-4 victory in Miramichi.  Caps fan showed up in droves on two full fan buses plus at least another 50 - 100 more drove in!

Because Summerside is now looking forward to taking on either Truro or Amherst in The Kent Cup final both myself and Corey Jeffery will be bleaching our hair blonde today.

Kenny McDougall, head coach of the Summerside Western Capitals, phoned in this morning for Behind The Bench presented by Johnston’s Tire & Truck Centre.  Myself and Corey threw out the hard hitting questions this morning such as: What music do you play in the locker room and will Chris & Corey bleech their hair blonde??

The Caps are on the road Saturday to play game 4 in Miramichi.  A win will advance them on to the Kent Cup
