No Longer Blonde??
Corey Jeffery joined in on Pride in the Morning today to reveal a new haircut. A new sans bleach haircut. We can only hope that this doesn’t have an adverse affect on the Summerside Western Capitals who are yet to play their first game of the Royal Bank Cup. So far changing his playoff hair cause two of his teams to get eliminated from the playoff in our NHL Playoff Pick’ems Pool!
ATG - Caps Win Fred Page Cup
Congratulations to the Summerside Western Capitals for winning the FRED PAGE CUP. It was a long road and not without it’s share of drama. From games that were “scheduled” at the Credit Union Place to penalty trouble and the injury to Playoff MVP Spencer Corchoran, the Caps battled through adversity and came out as champions. In my eyes, this is a team that epitomizes what Canadian hockey should be about. Toughness, heart, unsung heroes and clutch performances.
The final game against Dieppe went to double overtime before Mike McIsaac bagged the winner on the team’s 71st. For more on this game, check out the podcast.
Behind The Bench
Kenny McDougall, head coach of the Summerside Western Capitals phones in for Behind The Bench. Kenny talked about the play of his team so far, the “chippiness” of last nights game and gave us an update on Spencer Corchoran. Plus chatted about tonight’s opponent: The Dieppe Commandos. Game time is 7:30pm in Dieppe, GO CAPS GO!
ATG - Caps One Win From Final
Corey Jeffery came by Pride in The Morning today for After The Game presented by Johnston’s Tire & Truck Centre. The Caps had a really chippy game against the Sherbroke team. But managed to keep their emotions in check as they handed their Quebec opponents in a 6-3 thrashing. The game however was not without it’s losses for the Summerside Western Capitals as playoff MVP Spencer Corchoran went down with a injury and spent the night in the hospital. Cochoran will not be dressing for tonight’s game. The Caps are looking for a big win tonight in Dieppe as the winner will get a bye to the Fred Page Cup finals.
